Michelle L. Wheeler Earns Chartered Special Needs Consultant Designation
Michelle L. Wheeler, ChFC®, ChSNCTM, a Financial Planner with Northeast Planning Associates, Inc. in their Nashua, NH office, has fulfilled the rigorous requirements leading to the designation of Chartered Special Needs ConsultantTM (ChSNCTM) from the American College, Bryn Mawr, PA. Michelle joins a group of professional Financial Planners who are dedicated to high standards of ethical conduct and client services when assisting families and individuals with special needs.
As laws in this field have become more complex, the ChSNCTM certification allows designees to effectively provide special‐needs individuals and their families with informed financial advice designed to help preserve assets without jeopardizing access to essential support services. In order to earn the ChSNCTM credential, financial professionals are to have completed one of three advanced designations such as the ChFC®, completed a minimum of 120 hours of study as part of three college‐level courses that includes six hours of rigorous, proctored examinations, and a minimum of three years of professional experience.
Now that Michelle has completed the program, as a Chartered Special Needs ConsultantTM, she is equipped with the specialized skills needed to provide customized advice on a broad range of financial topics including special needs trusts; wills; powers‐of‐attorney; guardianships; Social Security and Medicaid; tax deductions and credits that may apply to special needs individuals; and more.
